Clermont Leisure (UK) Limited was established in 2005 and is wholly owned by GuocoLeisure. Clermont Leisure was created with a strategy of developing innovative Hotel Casino and leisure based casino businesses.
Intensive analysis has been conducted to assess the opportunities for the integration of casinos into hotels operated by the Guoman Hotel Group and also identifying key development locations within major towns and cities where a hotel is in close proximity, operated by a third party.
Clermont Leisure commissioned both market analysis and consumer research. Four major companies were approached to investigate and research the market opportunities. Leading companies in their specialist fields: CACI, Henley Centre, AL Marketing and YouGov, provided what is thought to be the largest and most intensive casino market research conducted in the UK.
A senior executive team of well regarded and knowledgeable professionals have been recruited to resource Group plans.
In 2006 Clermont Leisure acquired the prestigious Clermont Club situated in Berkeley Square in London’s exclusive Mayfair district and is the world renowned flagship operation for the company. Clientele are attracted from across the world to enjoy the outstanding gaming facilities provided within the impressive William Kent building.
Licence Applications
Clermont Leisure is approved as a casino operator by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, and has made a number of casino licence applications in London and other provincial UK cities.
A number of Certificates of Consent are approved and the company is well placed to bid for new licence opportunities under the Gambling Act 2005.
Licences have been granted in Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Bradford and Wolverhampton; with other applications being progressed.
